Sunwing Airlines has temporarily suspended flights of its four Boeing 737 Max 8 planes. A Max 8 was the type of plane involved in the crash in Ethiopia on Sunday where all 157 people on board died, including 18 Canadians. An Air Canada flight was scheduled to fly out of Halifax last night to London, England but was cancelled yesterday afternoon.

An aggravated assault that claimed the life of a 51 year old man in Halifax back in 2017 has been ruled as a homicide. Benjamin Lokeny was found suffering from a head injury at the corner of Buddy Daye & Gottingen streets on July 20th. He died a month later in hospital from his injuries.

There is a very large pothole you should plan to watch out for on Highway 111 that has severely damaged several vehicles. Some vehicles have had their tires and rims busted from the pothole at the Mic Mac Mall exit. The pothole has been causing so many problems that police were forced to redirect traffic for several hours Monday night.
