Provincial School administrators are authorizing high school rugby games to continue even though the sport is no longer authorized by the provincial Athletic Federation. The 7 English regional education centres have informed principals that rugby seasons can continue. However at this point it’s still not clear if this means all games will proceed as scheduled.

A police officer who was caught looking into windows of a Bedford motel has been sentenced to 2 months of house arrest, followed by 4 months of curfew and 12 months of probation. 44 year old George Farmer admitted to looking in the windows at the Esquire Motel in December 2017. He claimed to be investigating possible drug activity and prostitution.
A police officer has been acquitted of assault after an incident 2 years ago. 49 year old Derek Fish was accused of using excessive force against an intoxicated man outside the bar Cheers in April 2017. Fish was charged after a bystander recorded a video of his friend being arrested aggressively.

City officials are considering a program that would make menstrual products free at their facilities. If the city does go forward with the plan it could become the second jurisdiction in Canada to institute such a policy. The only city that currently gives out free menstrual products is London, Ontario.
