Halifax Regional Police have responded to more than 100 reports of thefts from vehicles.
They received 111 calls last month reporting the thefts throughout the Halifax area.
Police are reminding drivers to ensure their vehicles are always locked as well as offering up some tips.
They recommend never leaving valuables in plain sight, taking your wallet and purse with you, and parking in busy and bright areas.
Police are continuing to investigate and ask anyone who had property stolen from their vehicle to report it by calling 902-490-5016.
If your license plate or government ID has been taken, report it to police immediately.
They also ask anyone who spots suspicious activity around cars, like someone testing door handles, to call police at 902-490-5020 or Crime Stoppers.
