Lake Echo Beach has been shut down for swimming.
The municipality says the closure is due to high bacteria levels in the water.
Recent tests show those levels exceed Health Canada swimming guidelines.
Municipal staff regularly test the water quality at all supervised municipal beaches during the summer.
The bacteria can be caused by many factors including dogs, birds, wildlife, and high temperatures.
Staff will continue testing the water until the levels become safe again.
