Halifax Mooseheads training camp opened up yesterday, the Herd had it’s first skate this morning at the RBC Centre in Burnside with some 4-on-4 hockey.
It’s always exciting to see the new players come to Halifax for the first time and seeing them progress in their hockey careers.
I remember over the years first meeting Nathan MacKinnon, Jakub Voráček, Timo Meier, Nik Ehlers and many others as fresh faced teenagers for the first time who went on to become NHL stars!
The Mooseheads will have some intrasquad games this week and my son Drake has been assigned to referee the Sunday game.
The Moose host Cape Breton Eagles this Tuesday, August 24th at the RBC Centre that will not be open to fans, but Moosemaniacs can watch it on the Herd’s You Tube Channel for free.
I’m looking forward to getting back behind the Moose Microphone for my 25th season as the Mooseheads Public Address Announcer.
The Mooseheads home opener is October 2nd versus the Eagles in the heart of Moose Country at the Scotiabank Centre.
Go Moose Go!
