Police say a Halifax Transit driver and passenger were assaulted on a bus on Monday night.
They were contacted after the bus stopped on the Bedford Highway near Larry Uteck Boulevard at around 10:30 p.m.
They say a man got onto the bus, yelling at the driver and assaulting him.
He also assaulted the passenger when the individual tried to intervene. The suspect managed to run off, but the K9 team tracked him down.
The 19-year-old was arrested without incident. The bus driver was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
