A man punched someone right in front of police as they responded to an assault in Dartmouth on Tuesday night.
Halifax Police got a call shortly before ten o’clock about an incident involving a group on Highfield Park Drive.
When officers arrived they saw the man get knocked to the ground and threatened by the suspect, who was arrested.
His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
The 20-year-old is facing several offences including assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death, and breach of probation.
He’s set to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.
