Slow your scroll. TikTok Canada wants to help you become its next star.
The video-sharing platform has launched an “accelerator program” to support 30 Indigenous storytellers. It’s partnering with the National Screen Institute to offer the part-time training online.
The course will be led by TikToker Sherry Mckay who has nearly 500,00 followers.
She says the program has been tailored specifically from an Indigenous perspective.
You’ll learn storytelling techniques, how to create a marketing plan, and develop a series of videos for your account.
“Some of the sessions include camera and lighting, business management, audience engagement, and career building,” McKay says. “So if this program interests you and you would like to accelerate your success on TikTok apply.”
