You’ll have to fork over an extra quarter to cross the Halifax bridges on January 3.
The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board has approved a request to hike the prices to $1.25 (if you pay cash).
If you have a MacPass the fee will increase from $0.80 to $1.00.
Meantime, the regulator is also approving an increase in the minimum payment from $15 to $20 to manually or automatically replenish a MacPass account and the elimination of the $1.00 monthly administration fee.
The increases will largely help pay for upgrades and maintenance on the Macdonald and MacKay.
