Halifax Police are investigating two sexual assaults that occurred over the weekend.
Police say a random man came up to a woman and touched her in a sexual manner at Albro Lake Beach at around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
He’s described as white, standing about 5′ 6″, with a medium build, short dark hair, and a full beard. The man was wearing a blue jean jacket and jeans.
Meantime, an investigation is underway into an incident that occurred in Halifax early Sunday morning.
A man approached a woman walking on the sidewalk of Robie Street between University and South sometime between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.
Police say he had walked out of a home, pulled the woman to the side of the residence, and sexually assaulted her.
She didn’t know him.
The suspect is described as white, 25 to 30 years old with crew cut brown hair and a full brown or black beard. He was wearing a red flannel jacket.
Investigators are looking to speak with a man who they say might have witnessed the incident and yelled at the suspect.
