The second season of Locke & Key just dropped. It is great for pop culture enthusiasts who likes to spot familiar places on the screen as part of it was filmed in Nova Scotia.
The show’s crew utilized Lunenburg for a large portion of its exterior shots as they did in season one.
The horror drama follows the tale of three siblings as they look to unravel the secrets of their ancestral family home in Massachusetts.
The show features heavy fantasy elements with the house having mysterious keys that grant the bearer unusual powers.
Locke & Key is definitely geared towards younger audiences but there is something to appreciate for viewers of all ages, specifically if you enjoy seeing places you’re familiar with on the screen.
In the first episode, you’ll spot the beautiful Lunenburg waterfront. In virtually every episode of season two, there is at least one area from Lunenburg featured.
Production on season three is already underway. Shooting is currently taking place in Toronto where most of the interior shots are carried out.
Netflix has yet to confirm if the show will return to Nova Scotia for its next season.
