The Halifax Mooseheads will pay tribute to the Halifax Citadels Saturday night for 90’s Retro Night as the Herd will be wearing the Halifax Citadels blue, red and white jerseys remembering the Quebec Nordiques AHL farm team that played here at the then Metro Centre from 1988 to 1993.
I was just thinking of former players like Halifax’s own Trevor Steinberg who went on to have coaching success with the SMU Hockey Huskies, Dean Hopkins who’s son Brock played for the Mooseheads for a while and former NHL coach Claude Julien all dawned a Citadels jersey!
