You’re going to need to swap your shovel for an umbrella this weekend.
Nova Scotia is under a special weather statement ahead of wet and warm weather.
Environment Canada is warning the snow will rapidly melt, which brings the potential for flooding.
“Another system is set to approach Nova Scotia on Saturday, spreading rain, wind, and mild temperatures from west to east,” the weather statement says. “Given the recent snowfall, rapid snow melt is expected and could cause localized flooding.”
The system will pour up to 30 mm of rain on Halifax and bring wind gusts up to 80 km per hour.
The rain will kick off late Saturday afternoon and it won’t let up until midday Sunday.
