Former Halifax Mooseheads Captain Justin Barron has been called up by the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche!
He’s set to make his NHL debut tonight as the Avs face the New York Rangers on home ice in Denver.
See what Justin has to say below in this tweet from the Avalanche:

Justin has 9 points in 14 games with the AHL’s Colorado Eagles on defense.
He’s a former member of the Halifax Hawks Minor Hockey Association.
The Colorado Avalanche could be called the Nova scotia Avalanche as the team has had quite a few Mooseheads in their lineup over the years including Alex Tanguay, Jean-Sebastien Giguere and Nathan MacKinnon to name but a few.
It’s so great to see another hometown kid crack the Avs NHL lineup.
Congrats JB and be sure to say “Hi” to Nate for us from here in Moose Country and from Hot Country!
