The Oval is scheduled to open this coming Monday, so get ready for some outdoor wintery fun right in the heart of the city!
It’s time to lace-up those skates again as the Oval offers FREE public skating throughout the day, every day.
The municipality has not released what public health protocols will be in place this year at the Emera Oval, a PSA with these details is expected to be issued tomorrow, December 17th.
Equipment loans are to be available with helmets and skates in limited quantities at no cost for use at the oval with a government-issued ID.
Helmets are mandatory for children 12 years of age and younger.

I can’t wait to hit the ice again, its great exercise, I usually get 12 to 15 laps in per visit, then hit the hot chocolate!
