Halifax Regional Police are asking drivers to be patient on the roads as the storm sets in.
The force suggests giving yourself some extra time and want you to put that snow brush to good use.
They say leaving snow on your vehicle can be dangerous, especially if it blows off in slabs. It could also get you fined if you don’t clear off you vehicle properly.
“Before heading out, take the time to clear all the snow off your entire vehicle, including the roof. Leaving snow on your vehicle can be dangerous to other road users, especially if it blows off in slabs. Ensure that all windows are clear of ice, snow and frost. This not only increases visibility but is required by law.” – Halifax Police
Police remind drivers the road will be slick and advise stopping earlier to help prevent sliding into the intersection.
