Police are warning of an “anticipated event involving vehicles” through Halifax Sunday.
The notice included little in the way of details.
Police have received information about an event involving a significant number of vehicles in different parts of Halifax Regional Municipality, and ask motorists to be prepared. We are monitoring the situation closely and officers will respond accordingly.

According to that event, the protest will begin at Pier 21 at 1 p.m.

The route described by the event host is as follows:
- From Pier 21 onto Lower Water St
- Lower Water St onto Barrington St
- Barrington St onto Robie St
- Robie St onto Quinpool Rd
- Quinpool RD onto Connaught Ave
- Connaught Ave onto Bayers Rd
- Bayers Rd onto Hwy 102
- Then a loop around Bayer’s Lake
The province instituted heavy fines Friday, up to $10,000 for each person taking part, for road blockades.
Counter protestors are organizing online.
