A delivery of suspicious envelopes has been made to City Hall.
Halifax Regional Police have launched an investigation after getting a report of the delivery shortly before 8 p.m. on Monday.
“At this time, there are no reported injuries or illness in relation to the envelopes,” HRP says in a news release. “Testing is being conducted on the contents of the envelopes.”
This comes after a package containing a suspected skin and eye irritant was sent to South Shore-St. Margarets MP Rick Perkins’ office in Barrington on Monday.
Similar packages arrived at Perkins’ office in Bridgewater, and at West Nova MP Chris d’Entremont’s Yarmouth office.
Anyone with information about the suspicious envelopes is asked to call police at 902-490-5020.
Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers.
