A snowfall warning continues to blanket the Halifax area on Monday morning.
All schools in the Halifax Regional Centre for Education are closed as a result.

Dalhousie University’s Halifax and Truro campuses will be closed at noon. Saint Mary’s University is reopening at 12 p.m.
Environment Canada predicts another 10-15 cm of snow could fall before tapering off to flurries in the evening.
“The light nature of the snow in combination with colder temperatures may produce localized whiteouts on highways and over-exposed areas today,” according to the weather alert. “Snow is expected to taper to flurries this evening.”
Halifax Transit has announced some of its buses are operating on a snow plan.
The city says staff are working on clean-up and de-icing surfaces.

Meantime, the city has put its winter parking ban in place overnight on Tuesday.

- All school boards across Nova Scotia have closed for the day due to weather conditions
- NSCC Metro Campuses (Ivany, Aviation, IT, and Akerley) are closed
- NSCAD campuses will delay opening until 10 a.m.
- Dalhousie University’s Halifax and Truro campuses will close at 12 p.m.
- SMU campus will delay opening until noon. On-campus classes will resume from the 1 p.m. session onwards.
