Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for parts of our province, including Halifax.
It’s predicting we could see “significant snowfall” on Friday.
“Snow is expected to begin over southwestern Nova Scotia Friday morning and then spread eastward during the day,” the special weather statement says. “The highest snowfall amounts are expected to be in Yarmouth, Shelburne and Queens counties.”
The forecast is calling for up to 20 cm and strong wind gusts.
The national weather forecaster recommends keeping a close watch on the forecast.
