Another winter storm is on track to impact Nova Scotia on Friday.
A special weather statement remains in effect for Halifax with up to 20 cm in the forecast and strong winds.
The snow will start to build in the afternoon and persist into the evening.
“Light snow will begin Friday morning and spread eastward during the day,” the special weather statement predicts. “Conditions will begin to deteriorate Friday afternoon as the snow intensifies and starts accumulating, making travel difficult in some areas. Heavy snow will persist into Friday evening before tapering off overnight Friday as the storm moves off to the east.”
The highest snowfall amounts are expected over coastal sections of Yarmouth, Shelburne and Queens counties.
