A guilty verdict in the fraud case of a former CEO of the IWK children’s hospital in Halifax.
Tracy Kitch was charged with breach of trust and fraud over $5,000 after an audit found about $47,000 in questionable expenses.
Kitch stepped down in 2017 and eventually paid back the money that had been deemed “personal” on a corporate credit card.
The guilty verdict was delivered on Monday in a Halifax provincial courtroom by Judge Paul Scovil.
The breach of trust charge stayed.
Kitch’s two-week trial was held late last year and looked at 68 charges to the hospital over three years.
