Today we got to take part in a wish granted by Make-A-Wish Canada. The wish was for Wish-kid Connor Voss to fly on an airplane.
Now thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Canada, WestJet, Blue Cross and Fairmont Royal York…it’s happening. The now young 20 year old from Amherst is off to Toronto.
This also happens to be the VERY first domestic flight wish granted by Make-A-Wish Canada in 2 years due to the pandemic.
In 2020, Wish-kid Connor was diagnosed with Juvenile Huntington Disease of which there is currently no cure. Treatment is supportive and focused on increasing quality of life.
His travel mates included his sister Brianna and Mother Tanya.
We spoke with them both at the airport before their departure on what this trip meant to them for their son and brother…
Also had the pleasure of meeting Daisy the Therapy Dog…such a cutie!!
