Dreaming of your next camping adventure?
You can now officially make reservations for Nova Scotia’s provincial parks.
Due to the expected high demand, the openings for the twenty parks will be spread out over three days, April 5-7.
A schedule of which campgrounds open their bookings each day is posted on the Nova Scotia provincial parks website.
“For those who love spending time in the great outdoors, Nova Scotia’s provincial parks are the perfect places for families and friends to come together to make memories that will last a lifetime,” Natural Resources Minister Tory Rushton says in a news release. “From camping near the Atlantic Ocean or one of the province’s lakes, to other fun outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, paddling and so much more, Nova Scotia’s beautiful parks and beaches offer something for everyone.”
Officials recommend you log into the reservation website and join the virtual waiting room at 8:40 a.m. on April 5, 6 and 7.
At 9:00 a.m., each camper will be assigned a random number to enter the queue and complete their booking.
You’ll be able to set up your tents at most locations starting on Victoria Day weekend in May.
The province broke records last year, with more than 91,000 campsite nights booked.
