The pandemic has things reopening, but Oak Island won’t be among them
Oak Island Tours announced in a Facebook post on Wednesday the tourist hot-spot — which is privately owned — and the interpretive centre won’t be opening for the 2022 season.
The tour typically includes researched historical information, interactive and instructive features, such as a geological show and tell and scavenger hunts.
No reason was given as to why folks can’t tour the island this year; Oak Island Tours did recommend checking out Salty Dog Sea Tours for boat tours of the area.
Acadia News reached out Oak Island Tours for comment but had not heard back at the time of publishing.
