Crews are on the ground for a second day as they continue to battle a forest fire covering about 65 hectares in Halifax County.
The fire started near Upper Musquodoboit on Friday as bone dry conditions are being seen in the woods right across the province.
It’s considered under control in the latest update.
However, fire officials are stressing outdoor fun like camp fires and fireworks are not allowed right now because it is so dry.
A water bomber that was fighting a fire in southwestern Nova Scotia is now helping the Halifax area fire.
Wildfire near Chaplin in HRM (referred to as Dean in an earlier tweet) is estimated to cover 20 hectares. Response includes 20 provincial fire crew members, one helicopter, seven volunteer fire departments and @hfxfire. The CL-415 water bomber is en route from Yarmouth.
