A heads up if you’re often behind the wheel on Lacewood Drive in Halifax.
The city has announced the speed limit will drop from 60 km per hour to 50 on a section of the road.
“This change is a result of an assessment of the corridor, related to changes in conditions and activities along the roadway,” a news release says.
It will impact the area between Radcliffe and Fairfax drives, which is near the Canada Games Centre.
The municipality says the change is part of its Strategic Road Safety Plan, which aims to reduce fatal and injury collisions.
Crews will be posting the new signs this week.
