Police are investigating reports of a man secretly snapping photos of women at Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth on Saturday.
Halifax Regional Police say they were contacted about the incident shortly before 3 p.m.
Mall security had been alerted that the man appeared to be taking the photos without the women’s knowledge.
The reports also suggested he was trying to touch them in a “sexual manner.”
He ran away when approached by security and took off in a “newer model red Hyundai Elantra hatchback with no license plate,” according to police.
The suspect is described as white, in his twenties, approximately 5’8” tall with a thin build and dark hair in a ponytail. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black shirt with text on the front, black pants, and a green baseball cap.
Police are asking the people who reported the matter to mall security, anyone who was approached by the man, and anyone with information on the incident to call 902-490-5020.
Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers.
