UPDATE (July 21st at 2:30 p.m.): Halifax Regional Police say they’ve located the driver of the transport truck they had been searching for.
“We thank the public and the media for their concern and assistance,” police say in an update on Twitter.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police are releasing a photo of a transport truck after a fatal crash involving a teen motorcyclist in Halifax earlier this week.
Officers were called to Dunbrack Street near Highway 102 at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
Police say the motorcycle had collided with the truck, which also carried a trailer.
The 17-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The truck was not at the scene when police arrived.

Investigators now have video from the incident. They’re looking to speak with the driver and locate the truck which is described as being blue/grey, with a sleepover cab and grill protector. It was towing an empty tri-axle container chassis.
Police are asking the driver or anyone who has information on the crash or video from the area to call them at 902-490-5020.
