I recently got to meet the Simons, father Sam and his son Peter, who are the Halifax Mooseheads new majority owners.
They have big plans for Moose Country!
The Simons plan on expanding the fans “in game experience” with many exciting new features, events and improving the Scotiabank Centre facility, as well as the Mooseheads practice rink in Burnside at the RBC Centre.
The Mooseheads own Scott MacIntosh, Manager of Media Relations and Communications, sat down with the Simons for this interview when they talked about how they fell in love with Halifax, the fans and Moose Country:
When I first met the Simons last Sunday, I showed them my Mooseheads tattoo, Sam was like “I have to get a picture of that, Ian!”
After being the majority owner for twenty years, Bobby Smith sold the Herd to the Simon Family in February, for more on that click HERE.
Here’s to the new Simon era in Moose Country, Go Moose Go!
By the way, the Mooseheads will celebrate 30 years in Halifax next season.
