You’ll have to take the bridge if you want to get to PEI over the next couple of weeks.
The MV Confederation ferry in Caribou is out of service due to a mechanical issue.
It’s been down since Saturday, and all sailings have been cancelled until further notice.
They need to get a part to fix the problem and it will take at least three or four weeks to get it. All passengers with bookings will be offered refunds or can re-book.
Northumberland Ferries operates the vessel.
Their other one, MV Holiday Island, was taken out of service after a fire onboard last summer.
