Run your ceiling fan counterclockwise.
Ceiling fan blades are tilted slightly which helps push the air upwards or downward. When you run your fan counterclockwise, this forces cool air down.
Refrigerate your moisturizer.
This may not work so well with oil-based moisturizers but keeping other topical products and aloe vera in the fridge can provide an immediate sense of relief.
Put your hands and feet in cold water.
Dipping your extremities into cold water for about 3 minutes will cool the rest of your body because of these areas having a higher concentration of nerves and vascular hot spots.
Reduce your salt and protein intake.
Metabolic heat is caused when your digestive system is working overtime. In the warmer weather, reduce your internal heat by heating smaller, more frequent meals including plenty of fruits and vegetables. This diet contains plenty of water keeping you hydrated, reduces metabolic heat, reduces the need for an oven, and keeps you cool.
