A video has been making the rounds on social media of a gent by the name of Rick Austin being pulled around by a large fish on the end of his line off of Kingsport in the Minas Basin.
Experts say…it was a young great white shark (see below).
Check it out, slight language warning…as you can imagine.

‘In case some of you did not see my post on the other sites I will post here too. Experts are now telling me that they are almost positive that this was a Juvenile Great White Shark. I hooked this yesterday while striper fishing one mile off the Kingsport boat launch. – Update -Biologists at the New England aquarium in Massachusetts and the Department of Integrative Biology from the University of Guelph, Ontario have confirmed that it is indeed a Great White shark. They estimate it to be between 6 to 8 feet long weighing between 200 to 250 pounds.’
