I recently made O negative blood donation number 49 as my summer donation at Canadian Blood Services over on Bayers Road.
When I was there, I learned that the national blood supply across Canada was critical with only a two day supply left on the shelves.
Every summer, donations slow down due to vacations, but donors are still required to help out patients in need.
So if you can spare an hour, please consider making a donation that help can save up to three lives.
When you donate through Canadian Blood Services, your donation doesn’t just help one person. The ripple effect may be felt by their family, community, even the entire country. You don’t just make a difference; you make all the difference.

Canadian Blood Services currently have the smallest number of regular blood donors they’ve had in a decade—31,000 fewer than before the COVID-19 pandemic. They need people across Canada to help ensure patients’ needs are met.
