On Sunday, the 43rd Halifax Terry Fox Run took place at Point Pleasant Park, it was delayed after the remnants of Hurricane Lee went by last weekend.

Dartmouth’s Ryan Keeping did something incredible on the weekend.
(Above: Ryan Keeping of Dartmouth with Ian.)
On Saturday morning at 10am he began doing laps around the Point Pleasant Park trails and kept going for 24hours until Sunday morning at 10am!
Ryan went with no sleep, but had a lot of coffee to keep him going.
He ran 160 kilometers over the 24 hour period and donated a dollar a click for total of $160.00, AMAZING!
I interviewed Ryan at the opening ceremonies of the run and asked him why he did it and what it was like running for 24 hours.
(Above: Ryan and Ian chat about his 24 hour run in Point Pleasant Park.)
Ryan said he did it to fight cancer and when he was tired and running low on energy, he would think of what Terry Fox went through during the Marathon of Hope in 1980 and that kept him going. Way to go Ryan!
