The Doobie Brothers were in Halifax back on Friday night for their 50th anniversary tour.
Suddenly it was the 1970’s again with the soundtrack from my school homework listening to 1270 CJCB in Sydney.

The last time they played Halifax was 47 years ago, after that show Patrick Simmons said they went and did a jam session at the old Misty Moon until the wee hours.
They spent a couple of days in the city saying how much they loved Halifax and had a few lobsters.

They’re all in their 70’s now, but still sound as good as ever with tight harmonies and musicianship.
It was awesome to see Michael MacDonald reunited with the band. To me, he was the reason why I got into their music in the mid to late 70’s.

They played to an almost full house at the Scotiabank Centre for just over two hours.
Patrick Simmons said he hopes it won’t be another 47 years before they come back again.

To see them do their Greatest Hits live was a Bucket List Concert for many.
Thanks to the Doobies for coming to the heart of Moose Country!
