Congratulations to former Halifax CTV Atlantic News Anchor Heather Butts who’s been appointed the new weekend Anchor for CTV National News!
Heather Tweets that she’s honoured to take over in the footsteps of Sandie Rinaldo who’s been on weekends for almost 39 years.
Check out her post HERE.
Heather has almost 15 years of national breaking news experience and has covered several major stories in recent years, from the COVID-19 pandemic to the 2022 mass stabbing at James Smith Cree Nation in Saskatchewan.
Since joining the CTV News team in 2014, she has held several roles, from anchor to reporter to morning host at local stations across Canada, including here in Nova Scotia.
While in Halifax a few years ago Heather and my wife Roxanne, Executive Director of Christmas Daddies, co-workers at the time at CTV, would go to the Halifax Mooseheads games.
Congrats again Heather, well deserved we’re proud of you and we’ll be watching from Halifax.
-Ian
