One of New Brunswick’s Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League teams is for sale, you can now buy the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
The northern New Brunswick team announced back on the weekend that their ownership group is now searching for a buyer that would keep the team in Bathurst.
There have been financial struggles for the past 10 years and the pandemic made it even more difficult for ownership according to Team president Serge Thériault.
He said the team simply needs more fans in the stands at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre to create revenue.
Since 1998, the Titan have been in Bathurst and since 2013 have been owned by the same group.
Bathurst won QMJHL championships in 1999 and 2018 and took home a Memorial Cup title back in 2018.
Let’s hope the team can find a suitable buyer to keep the Titan in the Maritimes.
The Halifax Mooseheads next home game is against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan this Thursday night for “Student Night!”
