If you have decided to make the switch to an electric vehicle, the federal government is trying to make it a little easier.
The Natural Resources Department will spend $980,000 on 56 new charging stations around Halifax Regional Municipality.
Ten will be “fast chargers” and will fully charge your vehicle in about a half an hour.
The other 46 will take between 4 and 10 hours.
MP for Dartmouth-Cole Harbour Darren Fisher said “We know that by investing in critical charging infrastructure, we’re helping families save money at the pump while tackling climate change. That’s why we’re working with partners like the Halifax Regional Municipality to install more fast and convenient charging stations in Dartmouth—Cole Harbour and across the municipality.”
The stations are expected to start arriving this spring.
