You can now nominate your favourite Nova Scotians for the Medal of Bravery. Submissions opened on Thursday and will remain open until May 1st 2024.
Eligibility includes acts of bravery that happened on or after January 1st, 2021 performed by any Nova Scotian who went beyond what is expected of them, whether the incident took place in the province or not.
Premier Tim Houston says, “Each year, there are countless situations where heroic Nova Scotians selflessly help those in need, often in dangerous circumstances, putting their own personal safety at risk. This award is our way of thanking them for their courageous actions. I strongly encourage you to nominate someone you know who didn’t hesitate to step up and act bravely.”
If you know someone you would like to nominate for the Medal of Bravery, you can do so through Access Nova Scotia, any MLA office or online here.
