The East Coast Music Association has announced their 2024 nominees for the 36th annual East Coast Music Awards that are set to take place in Charlottetown, PEI, May 1st to 5th, 2024.
Prince Edward Island’s own, The East Pointers lead with an impressive seven nominations.
They’re followed closely by Nova Scotia’s Jenn Grant and Tim Baker of Newfoundland and Labrador with six nominations each, and Cape Breton’s Jimmy Rankin and Nova Scotia’s own Neon Dreams with four nominations each.
Here’s a breakdown of nominations by region:
Cape Breton: 18
Nova Scotia: 88
Prince Edward Island: 41
New Brunswick: 24
and Newfoundland & Labrador: 52,

The very first ECMA’s show took place on April 10th, 1989, in the Flamingo Café and Lounge here in downtown Halifax.
