Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs graced the stage in a rare live appearance from Chapman for a duet of her hit Fast Car that was given a new lease on life thanks to Combs.
Comb’s Fast Car was up for Best Country Solo performance but was beat out by Chris Stapleton’s Whitehorse which also took home the award for Best Country Song beating out Morgan Wallen’s chart-topper Last Night. While Wallen did not take home a Grammy, his song One Thing at a Time did break a record for most weeks in the number one spot on Billboard 200 by a Country Album at 18 consecutive weeks.
Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves take the award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance ahead of Save me by Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson. Wilson did manage to score the Grammy for Best Country Album with Bell Bottom Country.
America’s Sweetheart Taylor Swift took home her 18th Grammy and 4th Grammy for Album of the Year with Midnights and took the opportunity to announce that after releasing her (Taylor’s Version) albums, she will be releasing a brand new album Tortured Poets Department.
