The Toronto Blue Jays open their 2024 Major League Baseball season coming up this afternoon with a road game against the Tampa Bay Rays at 5:10 Atlantic time.
Toronto’s Jose Berrios will be starting on the mound against Tampa Bay’s Zach Eflin in St. Petersburg, Florida.
(Vladdy at the plate last August in Toronto for Ian’s first Jays game.)
The Jays went 89-73 last year before being swept by the Minnesota Twins in the wild-card round, where they just sored one run in two games.
(Above Ian with Dan Shulman the Play-by-play Voice of the Jays, such a great guy. )
Toronto is back with much of the same core as last season and is hoping the hot bats return to form.
As for the first part of the season, the Blue Jays play four games in St. Petersburg, three games at Houston and three games against the New York Yankees to start the season.
Toronto’s home opener is Monday, April 8th against Seattle.
Go Jays Go!
