Morgan Wallen was making headlines last year after his rumored romance with Megan Moroney and her hit Tennessee orange that seems to make mention of an unnamed muse that fits Wallen’s description. Around the same time, he releases a song about a tumultuous heart break and an attempted rekindling. It took no time for Last Night to soar to the #1 spot on Billboard charts all over North America.
This year, he announced that he is planning to open a 6-story bar and restaurant in Nashville shortly before releasing Man Made a Bar with Eric Church. The song made its way to the #1 spot after he is arrested for the now-viral incident being dubbed ChairGate taking place at Church’s establishment Chief’s on Broadway.
He may have taken it too far however, this incident resulted in multiple charges including disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment for which he has a court date on May 3rd. Some hospitality experts are saying he may not qualify for a liquor license if these charges are applied.
Wallen has been no stranger to scandals and bad publicity, though it seems like he is finding a way to harness the press in favor of carrying relevant releases to the top of the charts.
