Today on the Book of Love, we explore the age-old question, “What is Love?”
Dating evolves in many ways over the years and we’ve moved quite far from woo-ing and courting. In our current era, there are less gendered roles, more partnerships, more autonomy altogether, it becomes less of a fleeting, “This is my person to have and to hold” and more of, “is this person good for me and my future?”. In new age relationships, how do we navigate what exactly love is, and how to recognize it as so much more than just a Prince Charming fairytale moment?
Our question today is from someone navigating exactly that:
I (24F) have never been in love or even been in a relationship with anyone. I’m so in love with the idea of love and I get upset at times remembering that I’ve never experienced it romantically. I’m such a hopeless romantic and I’m just constantly waiting for the one to come by or just someone I can experience love with the way I want too.
How does it feel being in love and how do you know when you’re in love?
