Classic country music icon Willie Nelson celebrates his 91st birthday today and also technically tomorrow. According to Nelson, he was born shortly before midnight, meaning his birth certificate could not have been registered until the next day so biologically his birthday is April 29th, but legally it’s April 30th.
The 91-year-old is still going strong, his most recently released single came out only three days ago. The appropriately named Made in Texas comes out a month before his next studio album The Border, set to be released on May 31st.
Nelson has kept himself in shape all of these years looking not a day over 60.
He abides by his own life laws. According to Nelson, one way to living a long, fruitful life by
“Figuring out what you like to do and forcing yourself to make time for those things will force you to keep your work/life balance in equilibrium and will most likely have other benefits such as improved health or if you’re lucky (like Willie), a long life.”
