Unusual solar activity led to a rare sighting of the northern lights across North America this weekend. While this was visible to most of Nova Scotia according to the Aurora map, many Nova Scotians suffered the same fate we usually face during extraordinary celestial events: the weather.
Lucky viewers in the Windsor and Chester areas got a colourful display of radiant colours in the sky while much of Halifax’s surrounding areas were subject to a thick layer of cloud coverage.
