A house fire that has fully destroyed a home in Porters Lake has left one person dead.
The Halifax Fire Department tells our newsroom they received reports of a structure fire Friday night, when they arrived on scene on Myra Rd, the two-structure home was fully engulfed in flames.
Five engines and six tankers battled the blaze for a few hours.
The victim, first reported missing, was then found dead on scene.
The Office of the Fire Marshall and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service are both investigating the incident.
