I was thrilled to have been invited to MC at the St. Margaret’s Centre in Tantallon to celebrate the TASA Minor Hockey Association on winning the Kruger Big Assist contest, receiving $100,000 to promote diversity in and inclusion in Hockey!

TASA was chosen by Kruger for our community spirit, and how we rallied to help families affected by the wildfires last year, literally right by our two rinks in their backyard.

This event featured some fun activities, BBQ, inflatables, hockey skills stations, “toy” axe throwing and more.

Great to see my buddy HAL the Halifax Mooseheads mascot too. Both our sons Drake and Trent played for TASA growing up and were hockey officials for TASA.

It was fun to be back in the rinks where so many memories were made from 2001 to 2017 over their “careers” where we made lifelong friends.
Thanks to Chuck, Mary Lou, Matt, and all the TASA crew for the invite.
GO TASA! We’re Ducks forever!!
