This week we highlight Mambo from the Bide Awhile Animal Shelter for Furbaby Friday on Hot Country 103.5fm.
Mambo is the third kitten in the dancing cat trio. Last week her siblings, Cha-cha and Tango, were featured on Furbaby Friday and this week it’s Mambo’s turn.
Mambo has a bit of a special story; at a very young age she was discovered to have an enlarged heart. With this diagnosis, her and her siblings were all placed into foster care to be monitored while their bodies grew.
Last week, they made their return to the shelter where Cha-cha and Tango quickly found their new homes and Mambo underwent a secondary test to check her progress.
While her heart no longer appears quite as large, she was confirmed to have heart disease and is now being placed in Bide Awhile’s palliative care program. This program will allow Mambo to return to her foster home and receive the needed support from Bide Awhile for the rest of her life.
The shelter will take care of all medical expenses, and the foster only needs to provide food, litter, and love.
